Guy Fawkes with Mohawks

The boys wanted to do Mohawks, so of course, I said yes. It just so happened that it was on Guy Fawkes Night here in London. Guy Fawkes Night (also known as Bonfire Night, Cracker Night, Fireworks Night) is an annual celebration on the evening of the 5th of November. It celebrates the foiling of the Gunpowder Plot of the 5th of November, 1605 in which a number of Catholic conspirators, including Guy Fawkes, were alleged to be attempting to blow up the Houses of Parliament in London, England.

So, when we heard the fireworks, of course we went out on the balcony. But, it was raining and so they had to use thier new umbrellas that we bought.

Nikolaus was lookng at Jon and telling him that he saw FIREWORKS and Carson was building himself a little fort to watch them. The main event by the houses of Parliment is this Saturday night. Unfortunately, we will miss it. Jon and I are heading to Edinburgh, Scotland and the boys will be with my cousin Sue at her house. Please keep Sue and Dora in your thoughts this weekend when they are watching the boys. Just teasing. They will have a blast! Look forward to our next posting from Scotland!!!
