Buckingham Palace

Yesterday, we went back to Buckingham Palace. This time it was to watch the changing of the guards. We had our spot picked out, were waiting patiently, and then it begins. Suddenly, we had trouble seeing after a lady stepped right in front of both of the kids and blocked their view. I tried to get her to move, but she didn't speak English. So, we went over to the round about to watch the band and horses leave. What we could see was fantastic, but we will have to go back. I taught Carson a new game while we waited 40 min. for it to start. It was called... "See if you can stand as still as a Buckingham Palace Guard." If you look at the picture, that is what he is trying to do!
Since I was determined to do a little shopping, we took the tube out of Victoria Station and headed up to Kensington High St. Carson had worked up an appetite and the first thing he saw when we got off the tube was Pizza Hut. So, guess where we had lunch!

After lunch, I managed to get a little shopping in before I was pushing my luck. Our main mission was to buy everyone gloves and the boys stocking hats. It got to be a little chilly yesterday. As I look back on packing, I can remember standing at our coat closet at home and thinking, "now what was it that I was here for?" Apparently I never remembered! On our escapade, we saw a TK Maxx (TJ Maxx.) Of course I had to go in! I didn't buy gloves there, but was very successful at H&M.
