Where we live...

Our little Kitchenette. To the right in the photo is our fridge and a couple other cabinets plus the best part of our kitchen which is below...

This would be the washer and dryer!!!! Oh yes, I started a load last night that was about 8 pieces of the boys clothes and I am still drying it and it is 4 p.m. the following day. Not to mention it is in the kitchen. Very different but it will work for short term. It makes me definitely feel very fortunate with the one we have at home!

Our family/dining room and balcony.

This is from the balcony looking up the street.

This is looking down the street. I tried as hard as I could to zoom in on the corner pub. People just stand around outside and chit chat. We tried to go in one pub the first day we were here to have lunch and we weren't allowed in with children. We could have gone to the restaurant part but it didn't open up until 12:00 and we were starving. That was definitely a culture shock that children weren't welcome.

So far we have enjoyed our time here. We are very close to Big Ben, the London Eye, Westminster Abbey, the Thames river and St. James Park. We got my cousin's car on Sunday and today we were going to the grocery store. Carson asked, "Can we use the car today b/c I am tired of walking?" Not so much did we use the car. Grocery shopping was quite interesting with two kids, a stroller, a basket hooked to the stroller and trying to get all of the essentials while going during the rush of lunch. I think I may have to utilize the delivery service or go when Jon is home. I have figured out that people eat lunch a little later here than at home. Anyway, hope everyone is doing well at home and I will try to post more pictures soon. That's all for now!

First Weekend

ean up alright!
We clean up alright! Hans Peter (H.P.), Sue (my cousin), me and Jon

The boys feeding Sue's horses carrots. They giggled the whole time but, Carson was a little intimidated by the giant horse eating right out of his hand.

Juliana, Nikolaus and Carson after brushing Buttons (Juliana's Pony.) If you could see the bottom of Nikolaus' jeans you could tell they were wet. We had just gotten to the farm and I asked Jon how long he thought it would take Nikolaus to fall in horse poop. As I was saying it, he managed to walk into a little bog and got wet almost up to his knees. We hadn't even been there five minutes yet. Oh well, he dried.

Leaving for London and Arriving in London

We took just a few bags with us!

So we each checked 2 bags and then we all had a carry on or two. We left the US on Thursday the 25th at 2:30 and got to London on Friday the 26th at 7:05 a.m. London time. We were hanging at the luggage carousel for our bags; waiting, waiting, and waiting. Long story short, not one of our bags made it on the transfer in Chicago and so I got to do my first bit of shopping in London on Friday night. British Airways provided us with new pj's, toiletries, and a change of clothes for the next day. We did get our bags the next day and eventually got unpacked. Always a little excitement to keep us on our toes.

So Long Schneider Party

What a great time had by all at the party! Thanks to everyone for coming over and helping us celebrate. We will have to get together when we get back! Oh wait... we don't live here anymore!!!

48 Hours From Now...

We will be heading to the airport to go to Disney! Everyone think positive thoughts that the hurricane will pass by Florida and it won't rain the whole time we are there. We will be thinking of everyone in the 50 degree weather.
